Meetings

The French-Canadian Heritage Society of Michigan meets in a variety of places in Michigan. Meetings are open to the public and free of charge. In general, there are at least three Society membership meetings per year: a January business meeting (and induction of officers), a Spring (May or June) genealogy workshop, and a September social/pot luck. Depending on a number of variables, additional meetings might also be scheduled during the year. Saturday 10 January 2009 – 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Mt. Clemens Public Library, annual get-acquainted meeting (no board meeting).

Saturday 14 March 2009 – 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Detroit Public Library, Explorer's Room, "Les Habitants de Détroit, 1701-1763," presented by Gail F. Moreau-DesHarnais. This will be a joint meeting with the Detroit Society for Genealogical Research at the Detroit Public Library.

Saturday 18 April 2009 – 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Mt. Clemens Public Library, Roberta Estes has been contacted regarding a DNA presentation (board meeting at 9:30 a.m.).

Saturday 9 May 2009 – 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Mt. Clemens Public Library, bring your research question meeting – to encourage new membership and participation (no board meeting).

Saturday 12 September 2009 – 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Mt. Clemens Public Library, annual pot luck (board meeting 9:00 a.m.).
